Amy Mifflin is a Principal Consultant based in New Jersey with more than 30 years of experience focused on plans for corporate social responsibility (CSR); environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability; as well as diversity, equity, inclusion, (DEI) and belonging.

 

Amy guides her clients through the complexities of development, design, and implementation in key strategic areas: risk identification, mapping and management; stakeholder engagement and management; local content; grievance mechanisms; design of guidelines, standards and policies; workforce development; specialty programs in education and training, including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM); community development; community engagement and public affairs; human rights, including The Voluntary Principles Initiative; indigenous peoples; supply chain management and supplier diversity within the United States; sustainability reporting and marketing design; as well as cultural development and preparedness for asset and project development in developing nations in West Africa and the Middle East.

 

A global business-minded professional with the ability to shape discussions, Amy connects her clients' business needs with community needs, including public sector, governments, non-governmental organizations (NGO), environmental non-governmental organizations (ENGO), and academia. She carefully constructs internal and external engagements using combined theoretical, practical, and experiential approaches to garner buy-in and build collaboration while developing customized frameworks and strategies that are mutually beneficial to the business and external stakeholders. Amy is a strategic business partner to her clients, a planner, diplomat and thought-leader who integrates design and implementation using best practices, trends, benchmarking through applied analytical and critical-thinking skills with expert interpersonal skills.

 

To advance the state of the practice, Amy has served as a UH Energy Program Instructor for the Energy ESG Program at the University of Houston. The program helps train individuals and provides skills and tools towards developing, implementing and managing ESG programs for energy companies. She has written articles on social and environmental issues affecting global communities and is often requested to speak on topics affecting corporate workplaces including structuring and maintaining a company's social license to operate, socioeconomic challenges and efforts to reduce gaps, community development, generational challenges and building inclusion. Amy has also served on a number of advisory councils and boards regarding socio-economic inequities, human rights, race relations and environmental and ethical challenges facing global companies.

 

She has a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Organizational Leadership from Butler University.
